The Ocean Signal rescueME EPIRB3 Category II manual release EPIRB gives mariners an added peace of mind every time they venture out to sea. A Return Link Service (RLS) will provide visual confirmation that a distress signal has been received with a 121.5 MHz homing signal along with visible infrared strobe lights for easy target identification at night or in poor visibility situations. AIS and Near Field Communication (NFC) within one EPIRB, the rescueME EPIRB3 effectively pairs global and local rescue teams maximizing effective rescue resources virtually anywhere in the world. NFC technology gives access to EPIRB diagnostics using a smartphone. When a smartphone is placed adjacent to this EPIRB, an Ocean Signal Product App automatically opens to view beacon status information such as battery life, number of self-tests completed, number of GNSS tests performed, and the length of time your EPIRB has been activated. The GNSS testing can show a map view through the smartphone app pinpointing where a previous test was performed, with date & time information, how long it took your EPIRB to get a fix and more. It s now easier than ever before to ensure this lifesaving device is ready to go when an emergency arises. Incorporated AIS technology starts transmitting AIS signals so nearby AIS equipped vessels are notified of your distress situation and location and if nearby vessels are within VHF range, they will see safety messages on their screens that will include MMSI vessel identification. In the event that no local vessels are available, the AIS transmission will speed up recovery times by allowing maritime search and rescue operators to pinpoint your EPIRBS location as they approach. Included with every EPIRB3 device is a Category II manual release mounting bracket that securely stores this device for long or short trips and for any harsh marine environments you may encounter along the way. A quick release feature allows this device to quickly and easily be removed when needed. Equally suited for both powerboats and sailboats, the EPIRB 3 is slim in design and has a contoured profile. Perfect for recreational or commercial users alike, a variety of high-tech features make the rescueME EPIRB3 for work or play near shore or offshore.
